Presented by Brew Ha Ha Productions, and after moving from the outside parking lot of San Francisco’s legendary Cow Palace to inside its hallowed walls, the second installment of Punk in the Park San Francisco took place this past weekend, bringing out the Bay Area punks in droves. And with fifteen bands and over a dozen breweries on site for beer sampling, there was something for everyone.

Kicking off the festivities on the main stage while the beer sampling was still going on were The Lucky Eejits, followed by Knocked Down. It was The Queers who really got the crowd going though, many of who made their way over from Stage 2 after watching CH3.

Long time So Cal punks RKL got the crowd up and onto the mosh pit over at stage I, and as soon as their set ended, the crowd made their way back over to the stage 2 for a very frantic set by Manic Hispanic, complete with vocalist Efrem Schulz jumping into the crowd and engaging with the fans in the front row. Just when it seemed like their set may be the highlight of the day, Santa Cruz punks Good Riddance proved otherwise.

The ever controversial Leftover Crack closed out stage 2, after which brought all the punks back over to the main stage for the rest of the evening.

After the one-two punch of Lagwagon and Screeching Weasel, headliners Pennywise hit the stage, and closed out what turned out to be a very fun day of beer and punk rock. Here’s hoping that the festival returns to San Francisco next year for round three.
