The funkiest Halloween party in San Francisco this year will be hosted at The Fillmore by New Orleans funk stars Galactic on October 30 and 31.
Combining heavy doses of jazz/funk musical expertise, jam-band creativity, and bottom-heavy grooves, the weekend with Galactic will be a saucy gumbo of Halloween, Mardi Gras, Day of the Dead pageantry, and a good old-fashioned house party.
Led by drummer Stanton Moore, guitarist Jeff Raines, and bassist Robert Mauricio, Galactic has been moving the room since they first assembled in New Orleans back in 1994. What sets them apart are the interactions between the band members as they perform and, by extension, their connection to the audience during the show.
Laying down funkified grooves with bright splashes of horns and keys spread over the top, and finished off with the soulful vocals of Angelika “Jelly” Joseph, Galactic is the perfect elixir to satisfy your Halloween party thirst.
Get your tickets here: Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31.
See you at The Fillmore!
