Celebrating their 15th anniversary, The Kills had a fantastic show at the Fox Theater in Oakland. It was the tour’s last night, and they made sure to end it on a high note.
Not much was needed on stage for the duo to deliver an electrifying performance. The band’s set was solid. Alison as always was an explosion on stage and Jamie Hince delivered the neat moves.
They began with “Heart of a Dog,” the first song on their new album, Jamie Hince, and Alison Mosshart fired the stage with some high pitch energy, Jamie with sharp guitar riffs and Alison with a dominating presence dancing, throwing her hair in every direction. “URA Fever” sounded terrific, Hince moved to the front of the stage displaying a series of classy moves, sliding backward while playing the guitar with highly skilled riffs pure magic.
Their repertory was perfect for the night, “Black Balloon” and “Doing it to Death” had everyone dancing it out, with fans imitating Alison’s moves.
