Haight Street DeathRock Halloween Party – Ringchildren, Galaxy Chamber, Mystic Priestess Milk Bar
October 25, 2019
San Francisco underground rock connoisseurs get an early dark and freaky trick or treat this Friday October 25, as the inaugural Haight Street DeathRock Halloween Party comes to at Milk Bar in San Francisco (1840 Haight Street).
Appropriately, the evening will have an authentic Haight Street flavor, unleashing the sinister, spacey sounds of three bands that have fired up the stages at the annual Haight Street Fair: Ringchildren, Galaxy Chamber, and Mystic Priestess.
The witching hour for this early celebration of Samhain tolls at 7 pm with the irrepressible Shadow Circus Creature Theater, a presentation of eerie monster and pop culture puppetry.
Wages of Sin take the stage next (8pm), harkening back to the 80’s when they graced the stages of Bay Area clubs with some of the most influential underground acts to emerge from the scene.
At 9PM, the night will truly get dark and heavy as the psychedelic, sub-sonic behemoth Ringchildren apparates for a rare performance, with their original lineup playing Haight Street for the first time since the legendary I-Beam was still hosting the best of the national underground.
The gothadelic tribe better known to San Francisco as Galaxy Chamber, one of this year’s winners of the Haight St. Battle of the Bands, haunts the stage at 10pm, casting a spell of ritualistic space rock that is a true Haight Street experience.
And taking the graveyard shift for the Haight Street DeathRock Halloween Party is the dark wave femme rock blasted out by Mystic Priestess (the other of this year’s Haight Street Battle of the Bands winners).
Come early as this day of the dead celebration is sure to make the freaks come out at night!
